DOVIMA


Dovima was an American model during the 1950s. Her name was Dorothy Virginia Margaret Juba. Born in New York City on 11 December, 1927. Dovima was discovered on a sidewalk in NY by an editor at VOGUE, and had a photo shoot with Irving Penn (famous photographer) the following day. She was raputed to be the highest-paid model of her time. She had a role as an aristocratic-looking. She died of liver cancer on 3 May, 1990 at the age of 62.

 BETTINA GRAZIANNI

Simone Micheline Bodin, known as Bettina was a French fashion model and muse to the fashion designer Hubert de Givency. Born in France in 1925. She was renamed and recreated by Jacques Fath who told her, "We already have a Simone; you look to me like a Bettina.'' She was invited by Christian Dior to join his fashion house which she refused, choosing instead to work for Fath. Bettina became one of the century's first supermodel.
